Prenatal Through Age Three Health Resources

Drawing from conversations with our health partners and collaborators, Roots & Wings pulled together a list of prenatal-through-age-three (PN-3) resources that have proven helpful across our partner community. The links shared in the downloadable PDF below lean towards relational health and holistic care—tools that support families with young children through the full range of strengths and needs that life brings. We’ve compiled this tool to help partners find what they need and to encourage shared learning. If you have feedback or any additions to suggest, please contact your Program Manager.

Foundant FAQ

What is Foundant?

Foundant is the Roots & Wings Foundation’s grants management system. This system stores your organization or program’s current and historical grant information online.

What is Foundant’s web address?

https://www.grantinterface.com/Home/Logon?urlkey=rwf. Helpful tip: Save it to your favorites.

Can I create a log in of my own or for others?

To minimize duplicate accounts, please do not use the “Create New Account” feature. To set up a new account, or to troubleshoot your login, please contact Sophia.

What if I forgot my password?

Not to worry. We forget our passwords all the time. From the logon page, you can click the “Forgot Your Password?” link to create or reset your password.

What if the point of contact changes for my grant?

If the point of contact changes for your grant, please send an email to Sophia and your program contact. They will set you up with a new user account and share some helpful resources for navigating Foundant.

What if I don’t see an email from Foundant in my inbox?

Keep an eye out for emails from administrator@grantinterface.com. That’s the email address associated with the grants management system. If you don’t see an email in your inbox, chances are the email went to your spam folder. To keep this from happening, save administrator@grantinterface.com to your safe senders list or to your contacts.

How do I access information about my grant once I am logged in?

Once you have logged into Foundant, you’ll see a small “home” icon in the top left corner of the screen next to the Roots & Wings logo. Once you click on this icon, you’ll be able to see the grants you have access to. From here, you can click on any action button or blue link you’d like. There’s a lot you can learn about Foundant. Reach out to Jamie, if you’d like more information.

How can I print a PDF from Foundant?

Printing forms from Foundant is simple, but not necessarily intuitive. Once you have logged in, use a blue link, such as “View Application” to get to the form you wish to print. Then look for the button “Application Packet” in the upper right corner of the screen. Once you click that button, a PDF will download to your computer.

What if someone else needs access a form in Foundant?

If someone else in your organization needs to edit, review, sign or submit a form (regardless of whether or not they have an account) you can add them as a “Collaborator” in Foundant. Once you are logged in and viewing the form you wish to collaborate on, click on the blue “Collaborator” button in the top right corner of the screen.

Grant FAQ

What should I know about the grant funds?

We do not require expenditure reporting and there is no deadline for spending the funds. You know the needs of your organization or program best. Therefore, you are welcome to use the funds in a way that makes the most sense for your work.

What are the requirements for the grant?

The only requirement for the grant is the completion of a report we like to call a  Check-In. Otherwise, we only ask that you inform us if the Executive Director of your organization changes, if controversial/sensitive matters arise for your organization or program, and that you keep your points of contact up to date with us. Please note, you are always welcome to reach out to us if a critical and time sensitive need arises before your check-in time.

What is the Check-In process like?

We take an informal and curiosity-led approach to reporting, which is why we like to call our annual reports a Check-In. Check-Ins give us an opportunity to hear about what’s been happening since you received the grant and to see how we might be able to better support your work. Partners have the option to complete their Check-In online in written format, or over video/phone call, depending on preference. We also welcome you to share reports you have created for other funders, if that makes things easier.

How do we know if our grant is going to be renewed?

We can’t guarantee renewed funding until after an application renewal takes place. However, we typically continue to fund organizations or programs for many years that align well with our mission and priorities.

What is the grant renewal process like?

We think of our renewal process as a chance to refresh your application. Similar to your first application, we pre-populate the renewal application with what we know about your organization or program and then ask you to review it for edits and/or additions. You are welcome to do these changes online in written format, or over video/phone call, depending on preference.

What if our grant is not going to be renewed?

We know that sustainable funding is really important to nonprofits. Should we decide not to continue funding, we try to give as much notice as we can.
